And The Rain Falls Down Opens!

What a joy to open at Lakeside Arts Centre, Nottingham whose very open and supportive team is exactly what a show like this one needs to blossom; it rains on stage, in the words of some children “things are going up and things are coming down”, things enter apparently of their own accord, there is a lot of water, there are 3 and 4 and sometimes 5 year olds really really close to 'the action' and then part of it!!

Its a risky one and hugely technical but well worth the effort for the excitement it generates in the space.We have now done 3 shows and had very warm responses from our young audience and from some of the schools we already met in the Rain workshops.This much we know: what takes 45 minutes to get wet takes a whole lot longer to get dry…good luck stage management!
